Joe obtained his BBA in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1985 and an MBA from UTPB in 2004. He started his career by climbing the ranks in the oilfield supply industry, becoming President of Strategic Supply in 1994. In 1998, he entered the mid-stream energy sector with GPM/Duke Energy as Manager of Financial Reporting for a $1.5 billion division. In 2007, Joe moved to upstream oil & gas with ConocoPhillips as a Sr. Financial Analyst. He also served as the Accounting Manager for David Arrington Oil & Gas. Subsequently, in 2009, he headed to Reliance Energy as Director of Operations, until the business was sold to Concho Resources. He joined the Desert Royalty team in 2016. Joe and his wife Lea Ann have two children.
